I am a senior chemistry major from Hazlehurst, Mississippi. I knew from a young age that I wanted to work in healthcare when I grew up. I fell in love with chemistry in high school, and since then I have worked hard to learn more and more about how all of our bodily processes work on a molecular level. Along with my major, I am completing a minor in microbiology. I currently serve as the Vice President of our SMACS chapter and served as Outreach Coordinator during the 2020-2021 academic year. My favorite part of being in the SMACS crew is being able to work with kids to teach them how intricate and cool the everyday science around them is.
