I was trained as a biophysical inorganic chemist, and I have a particular interest in transition metal enzymes. While I love chemistry, I found that my true passion was in education. I have taught at Mississippi State University for about ten years (in various capacities), and each day is more exciting than the last. I enjoy getting to know my students, the chemistry majors, along with the amazing colleagues that I work with. In 2018, I was asked to join the Student Members of the American Chemistry Society (SMACS) as a Co-Advisor. Joining that group has been an exciting adventure, and I can't wait to see what else is ahead.
