The Escape Room: The Experiment
National Chemistry Week 2019
The Escape Room was an event open to the public that was held inside the general chemistry labs in the Department of Chemistry at Mississippi State University on Oct. 26 and 27. This made a real-world chemistry laboratory available to a general audience and fully played in to the chemistry theme. Puzzles were carefully crafted and ordered in such a way to make escaping accessible to a general audience. In fact, zero knowledge of chemistry was required for someone to participate and succeed in the event. Puzzles were constructed to incorporate chemistry concepts as well as fitting into the overall NCW theme of Marvelous Metals.
